Legal
Terms of Service.
These terms cover your use of the RenderFrost SMP website. They are written to match what the site actually is, and they are deliberately clear about where website rules stop and server rules begin.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By using the RenderFrost SMP website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site. These terms do not require you to create an account, and they do not form a contract to play on the Minecraft server.
2. What this website is
This is an informational website about RenderFrost SMP, a whitelisted Minecraft Java Edition survival community. It publishes the server address, the community rules, membership information, and links to the Discord server.
It is a static website with no backend. It has no accounts, no login, no payments, no subscriptions, no private messaging, and no system that can change anything on the Minecraft server. Where these terms describe a limitation, it reflects how the site is genuinely built rather than a preference.
3. Eligibility and responsible use
You may use this website for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with anyone else's use of it. That includes not attempting to disrupt, overload, or probe the site for vulnerabilities.
Please do not misrepresent the website or its contents, and do not present the server address as an invitation to join without approval. Access to the server is whitelisted, and stating that clearly here is not a formality.
4. Using the website's features
The interactive features on this site are limited and plain: navigation, the rules contents, the FAQ, the Copy IP button, and the optional soundtrack control.
-
Copy IP copies
play.renderfrost.comto your clipboard. Copying an address does not connect you to anything. - The soundtrack is optional and only plays when you press play. Your volume and mute choices are stored in your own browser. No music starts automatically.
- External links, such as the Discord invite, open in a new tab and are marked as leaving this site.
5. Minecraft server access and whitelist
RenderFrost SMP is a whitelisted server. Only authorised staff members can add a player to the whitelist, and every addition is subject to staff verification and approval.
This website cannot grant, check, or restore server access. It has no connection to the server, so it cannot tell you whether you are whitelisted, which version is currently supported, or whether the server is running. Those matters belong to the staff team, reachable through Discord.
Do not treat knowing the address, or receiving a personal invitation from another player, as authorisation to join.
6. Community guidelines and the separate SMP rules
Conduct on the Minecraft server is governed by the RenderFrost rules, which are a separate document from these terms. The rules cover behaviour in the world, including griefing, consent for PvP, cheating, rollback eligibility, building limits, and how whitelist invitations work.
Using this website does not change those rules, and breaking the server rules is not something a website can enforce or waive. Enforcement on the server, including moderation action and any in-game consequences, runs through the staff team.
Conversely, these terms apply to how you use the website, not to how you play. The two documents sit alongside each other rather than one overriding the other.
7. Intellectual property and brand assets
The RenderFrost name, logo, and the artwork used on this site belong to the RenderFrost project. You may not use them to imply endorsement, or in a way that suggests you operate or represent the server, without permission.
Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios. This website is an independent community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. That statement is made plainly because it is true, not as a disclaimer of ownership.
Text written for this website may be quoted with attribution to RenderFrost SMP, provided the meaning is not altered.
8. User-submitted material
This website does not accept user submissions. There are no forms, no comment system, and no upload path, so no material you create is submitted to or stored by this site.
If you share screenshots, builds or messages with the staff team through Discord, that material is handled by that platform and by the staff team under their own arrangements, not by this website.
9. Third-party websites and services
This site links to Discord and nowhere else external. Links that open in a new
tab are marked, and use rel="noopener noreferrer" for safe
handling.
We are not responsible for the content, availability, or data practices of any external service, including Discord. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
Fonts used by this site are served from the same host as the pages rather than from an external provider, so viewing a page does not involve a third-party request.
10. Website availability and maintenance
The site is provided as-is and may change, move, or become unavailable without notice. Content may be corrected or updated as the project changes, particularly the rules and membership process.
No part of this website is a promise that the Minecraft server is online, that any particular version is supported, or that access will be granted.
11. Disclaimers
The website and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, whether stated or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Information here is provided in good faith and reflects the project's own rules and process. It is not legal advice, and it is not a guarantee about any technical or administrative outcome.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the RenderFrost project and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and this section is not intended to do so. Where local law materially affects the wording here, that is a genuine question for a qualified adviser rather than something to be settled by a website template.
13. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the website changes in a relevant way. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated at the same time, so you can see how current the document is. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Contact and reporting
Questions about these terms, or about the website, can be raised with the RenderFrost staff team through Discord.
No email address or postal address is listed here, because no verified contact of that kind could be established for this project. Rather than invent one, this page points to the channel that is genuinely monitored.
15. Relationship to the Privacy Policy and SMP rules
These terms sit alongside two other documents:
- The Privacy Policy explains what data the website handles, which is deliberately very little.
- The Rules govern conduct on the Minecraft server and are enforced by staff.
Where these terms are silent, the other documents apply to their own subject matter. Nothing here overrides the server rules, and the server rules do not govern your use of this website.
